New
Application Introduction
|
| Background:
|
The
client is a 27,000 employee global insurance and financial
services company with an IT staff of 3500. The company
provides property and casualty, life, group benefits,
and investment options through broker and affinity relationships.
|
| Challenge: |
The
client sells a majority of its products, in the US,
through independent brokers. As an element of its strategic
objective to enhance relationships and support for its
brokers, the company introduced a web-based application
to speed the development of client proposals for insurance
coverage. The client wanted to leverage the branding,
broker-care and usage potential of the new system through
high-impact broker training.
|
| Solution: |
Designed,
developed and launched a high-interaction, computer-based
learning event for the new broker application. Over
20,000 insurance brokers were targeted for transition
to the new automated online proposal and underwriting
tool. Users received instant response to new business
underwriting requests. The computer-based learning program
marketed the new application features and benefits to
brokers by using film industry techniques to bring a
human element to the learning process.
|
| Benefits: |
The
high-end learning solution complimented the client’s
branding and image and set the tone for the high quality
of service and benefits the new application would provide
to brokers. The company benefited from a reduction in
customer service resources as well as a decrease in
broker-based sales cycles. |
