Custom
Content Development – SCORM Compliant Software
Simulation
|
| Background:
|
The
client is a market leading, 27,000 employee global insurance
and financial services company. The company provides
property and casualty, life, group benefits, and investment
options through broker and affinity relationships.
|
| Challenge: |
DeSai
designed and developed an online process-based simulation
for insurance industry customer follow-up. The training
was developed according to SCORM compliancy rules to
produce reusable content that would add value to future
development. A simulation interface was selected to
closely mimic the learner’s actual performance
environment. Learners were given the ability to self-assess
their skills with the specific software through both
pre and post-learning. Each interaction, in the assessment,
was captured to give the learner feedback and present
a list of learning modules necessary to complete the
training.
|
| Solution: |
DeSai
designed, developed, and implemented a project management
learning program to create project management consistency
and industry recognized certification. Based on learning
objectives identified in a formal discovery effort,
a comprehensive 10 learning event program was developed.
In addition to a track of project management courses
resulting in PMI certification, additional learning
events in project management software, finance and strategy,
management and organization, and leadership were included.
|
| Benefits: |
The
assessment information fed into a reporting structure
for course use analysis. The reports indicated a high-level
of satisfaction with the training, its presentation,
and the likelihood of the knowledge transferring into
actual performance. The times and accuracy rates in
the post-assessment showed a marked improvement over
the pre-assessment. Further analysis over time showed
productivity and quality improvements in use of the
application. |
