University
of Connecticut, DeSai Systems Forge Partnership to Provide
Corporate e-learning Solutions
WEST
HARTFORD, CT -- The University of Connecticut College
of Continuing Studies (CCS) and DeSai Systems, a leading
provider of business training and training management
services, have entered into a partnership to provide
education products and programs to the corporate community.
The partnership's primary objective is to identify,
develop, market and deliver professional education to
Global 2000 companies through the use of technology-based
distance learning and interactive multimedia and the
standard classroom model.
Announcement
of the partnership agreement was made jointly by Krista
K. Rodin, Ph.D, Dean of the University of Connecticut's
College of Continuing Studies, and Jatin DeSai, CEO
of DeSai Systems. CCS will employ its expertise in research,
teaching and education programming to provide the product,
or course content, portion of corporate programs. DeSai
will implement its learning technology and Web marketing
capabilities to deliver the CCS product to current and
future clientele. CCS joins a growing list of DeSai
content partners whose combined libraries enable DeSai
to offer its customers more than 2000 course selections
encompassing business, interpersonal, management and
technical subjects.
"This
partnership is intended to leverage the competencies
and resources of both our organizations as we strive
to respond to the educational needs of both Corporate
America and the world corporate community," DeSai
said. "Together, we will follow a disciplined approach
to accelerating learning processes for the employees,
customers and suppliers of our client corporations."
For nearly two decades, DeSai-administered corporate
education programs have contributed to client advances
in leadership improvement, team building, sales and
sales management, customer service, finance, project
management, engineering and technology.
Commenting
on the CCS/DeSai cooperative effort, Dr. Rodin observed
that corporate knowledge officers, in growing numbers,
are citing an increased need for access to program content
that specifically matches learning with employee job
roles and skill needs. "Life-long learning has
become a fact of life in the world of business,"
she said. "The business community, with few exceptions,
is vividly aware of the ongoing need for employee education
and its positive influence on work force retention.
I am confident that the CCS-DeSai alliance has created
a strong and logical resource capable of contributing
to the achievement potential of corporations everywhere."
The
DeSai organization currently provides large-scale education
support services that help a worldwide clientele align
learning capability with business strategy development.
Among the global corporate industries served are insurance,
information technology, aerospace, financial services
and manufacturing. DeSai also provides education products
and programs to the government sector.
"We
are successfully demonstrating, through our carefully
formulated enterprise learning automation solution,
the corporate university, that we and our valued partners
are able to help meet the demands of business through
employee education," DeSai said.
