The
Process Based Assessment & Training simulation,
produced by DeSai, for The Hartford eBTS Training group,
wins the bronze award for Best Practices in Brandon-Hall's
2003 Excellence in e-Learning Awards
From
a record number of more than 170 entries, The Hartford
eBTS Training Group won the bronze award for a process
based simulation in Brandon-Hall's 2003 Excellence in
e-Learning Award for Best Practices. DeSai Learning
developed the entry titled, Process Based Assessment
and Training.
The
training uses intelligent technology that simulates
the learner's work environment to assess their skill
mastery through real-life interaction. The results are
presented to the learner in a Learning Plan, linked
to training modules related to deficient skills. Working
closely with The Hartford, the instructional design
team assessed the learning objectives and audience,
storyboarded, and developed the entire program.
All
entries underwent rigorous multi-phase review by 189
independent judges with expertise in instructional design,
online learning and organizational change. Numerical
ratings based on specific criteria were averaged to
determine each entry's rankings, and winners were selected
from three categories - Best Practices, Custom Content
and Innovative Technology. The winners received a Gold,
Silver, or Bronze award.
