Leadership Skills

Imagine the benefits of taking your organizational leaders out of their corporate entrapments and into a more neutral atmosphere to focus on a specific leadership skill. All rules and patterns of the corporate environment are broken while they work toward a common goal, allowing for new patterns of thinking and leading to emerge.

The environment is one that encourages a natural inclination to work together positively toward a common good. The experience takes leaders out of the coat and tie world and into a completely different one, in which production means getting their hands dirty. The location, for this example, is a Habitat for Humanity project house. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing.

What’s the Magic?
Leaders are teamed up with each other and Habitat leaders. Groups work in the construction aspect of the program while a facilitator relates the day toward the selected leadership lesson. Breakout sessions happen throughout the day, where participants address the focused skill in relation to the day’s experience. In the process, they build a sense of team, community, and common purpose that they later relate to their professional world.

DeSai Learning offers this unique experience to organizations that want their leaders to take their leadership skills to a new level of understanding.
